QUALITY
Since 1995, AB Sundplast is certified according to the ISO 9001:2008 standard, and since 1999 according to the environmental certification ISO 14001:2004. This is the result of a long-term commitment and active participation from both the staff as well as the business management.
Sundplast’s objective is to only market and deliver products of such quality that they fully conform to the specified and agreed upon conditions, while minimizing the environmental impact of the products.
Our customers expect us to deliver quality products on time and to a fair price. This is achieved by using only quality products from well-known suppliers, a careful pricing and a quality policy that does not allow for any delays or defect deliveries. Our aim is to always strive for perfection, and therefore we constantly work in order to improve our routines for quality assurance.
ENVIRONMENT
Sundplast constantly strives to improve the environmental development and we take the environment into consideration in all parts of our operations. The commitment for the environment is a central element in our company and we continuously work to find new environmentally adapted products that minimize the effects on the environment.
We offer a wide range of eco-friendly products and wish to inspire our customers to act with a consideration to the environment
By offering a wide range of environmentally friendly products, we wish to inspire our customers to act with a consideration to the environment, having the best intentions in mind. We pose the same demands on our suppliers as on ourselves. Hence we choose to a greater extent to work with suppliers that hold documented environmental systems and that work with environmentally certified products. We maintain a constant dialogue with customers as well as suppliers regarding environmental aspects, regulations and environmental matters.
Naturally, we fulfill the entire legislation and bide by all regulations, as well as continuously training our staff according to those.
FTI
Sundplast is part of the FTI – Packaging and Newspaper Collection – which is a recycling business company with the task of ensuring that packaging and newspapers in Sweden are collected and recycled.
Operations are based on government regulations on producer responsibility for packaging and newspapers. Producer responsibility is a regulatory framework that has been created to create an environmentally sustainable society for the future.
The visionary future image is a revolutionary society where most of what is considered waste today is useful as a kind of new resource. The principle method adopted by the Riksdag in 1993 for this work is to put environmental responsibility on the producer of a product. Manufacturers should be obliged to take care of the goods even after final consumer use.
RoHS
– Restriction of Hazardous Substances
Sundplast is following the restrictions in REACH och RoHS.
REACH – Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals
REACH (EC/1907/2006) is the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe usage, which is in force since 2007. REACH is a regulation and therefore directly applicable throughout all EU Member States. It does not require transposition into national laws of Member States.
All undertakings that manufacture, import, distribute, or use a substance as such, in a mixture or an article, are affected by the provisions of REACH. Although the focus is primarily on substances, there are also certain obligations with respect to articles. Because obligations depend on the role of a company, it is important to determine if one is considered a manufacturer, producer, importer or downstream user in the terminology of REACH.
RoHS – Restriction of Hazardous Substances
The Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment 2002/95/EC (commonly referred to as the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive or RoHS) was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union. The RoHS directive took effect on 1 July 2006, and is required to be enforced and become law in each member state.
